Refund policy

We are happy to replace items that are defective or damaged, however this does not extend to change of mind or a mistake when ordering.

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days from when you receive your fabric. Once the 30 days has passed, we cannot offer a refund or reprint.

To be eligible for a return, your item/s must be in the same condition that you received it.

Non returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Sale items or retail items
  • Custom printed fabric with your own design

If you receive faulty or damaged fabric, please do not wash or process the fabric in any way. Please email us with photos and details of the damage and we will let you know whether to return or retain the fabric. 

If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Exchanges
We only replace fabric if it is faulty, not if you have a change of heart. If you need to exchange for the same item, send us an email at hello@materialdifference.com.au

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
